Set of six matching silver-tone spoons accompanied by a pair of decorative sugar tongs. The spoons feature oval bowls and slender handles with understated decorative detailing, while the sugar tongs have twisted stems and spoon-form ends with more elaborate ornamentation near the handle.
The pieces bear several small engraved or stamped marks reported to include a lion, crown, the letter R, the letters JR, and two stars. These marks may be maker's, assay, quality, or decorative marks; however, their origin and significance have not been independently identified or authenticated.
