This rare set of three English bone china plates was manufactured by Coalport for the luxury retailer Sirett. Each plate features a vibrant turquoise (Sèvres-style) blue border decorated with intricate gilded vine, grape, and pomegranate motifs. The central well of each plate displays a gilded Menorah under a royal canopy topped with a crown and the Star of David. Surrounding the central image is Hebrew liturgical text relating to the Passover Seder. The scalloped rims are finished with heavy gold gilding. These pieces represent a fine intersection of traditional English ceramic craftsmanship and Judaica.
