Description: Intimate and expressive pencil drawing by influential Russian–Ukrainian avant-garde artist David Burliuk (1882–1967), often referred to as the “Father of Russian Futurism.” This work, titled Study of Two Nudes, presents two reclining figures rendered with Burliuk’s characteristic economy of line and confident draftsmanship.
The drawing is signed in Russian at the lower right and dates stylistically to Burliuk’s mature period. According to the framing label, an additional nude study appears on the reverse (not currently visible). Nicely framed with museum-style matting and ready for display.
A compelling and collectible example of Burliuk’s figurative draftsmanship, suitable for collectors of early 20th-century modernism, Futurism, and Russian avant-garde works.
