An authentic Edition Picasso glazed ceramic vessel formed in the stylized shape of a hen (Sujet Poule). Rendered in white earthenware decorated with cobalt blue oxidized paraffin brushwork highlights depicting feathers, eye details, and striped accents. Designed in 1952 and produced at the Madoura Pottery workshop in a limited edition of 500. Stamped on the underside with "EDITION PICASSO" and "MADOURA PLEIN FEU" marks, and hand-inscribed "EDITION PICASSO", "R-128", and numbered "388/500". Reference: Ramié 128.
