An exquisite, limited edition "Millennium Egg" created by the House of Fabergé to commemorate the turn of the century (circa 1999–2000). Designed in the manner of the historic Imperial Romanov Easter eggs, the exterior features rich translucent green guilloché enamel over a wavy engine-turned ground. The surface is heavily ornamented with gilt garland swags, laurel wreaths, and interlocking ribbons, all meticulously set with brilliant white crystals.

The hinged egg opens to reveal a two-stage hidden surprise: a granular, textured gold-tone globe. The globe itself opens on a small hinge to display a miniature three-stone ring nestled within a deep blue velvet interior. The lot includes the original presentation display case and its custom tripod branch-form gilt stand.
