Vintage "The Misfits" Film Production Still (1960) featuring Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable
Title: Vintage Original 8x10in Black-and-White Production Still of Marilyn Monroe & Clark Gable in The Misfits (1961).
Description:
Offered here is an exceptional, vintage black-and-white 8x10-inch movie publicity and production still capturing Hollywood icons Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable in an intimate, dramatic moment from director John Huston's landmark contemporary Western, The Misfits (1961).
Filmed under the grueling heat of the Nevada desert in 1960, The Misfits holds a poignant, permanent place in cinematic history as the final completed feature film for both legends. Clark Gable tragically suffered a heart attack and passed away shortly after production wrapped in late 1960, and it marked Monroe’s last completed performance before her passing in 1962.
This high-contrast cinematic portrait beautifully showcases the magnetic on-screen chemistry and raw vulnerability of Gaylord Langland (Gable) and Roslyn Tabor (Monroe). It serves as a striking piece of investment-grade Hollywood memorabilia from the twilight of studio-era cinema history.
