A dramatic Western drypoint etching by Chicago artist Reinhold H. Palenske, depicting a cowboy attempting to break a bucking horse. The rider is shown in mid-action, gripping the reins and a whip as the horse rears up near a wooden fence post. Palenske, known for his mastery of the drypoint process and his depictions of the American West, utilizes fine line work and characteristic burr to create a sense of movement and dust.
