This striking limited edition serigraph is by the acclaimed Tlingit artist Michael Nicoll Beasley. Titled Coho Raven, the work is numbered 60/199 and features a masterful application of traditional Northwest Coast formline design. The composition centers on a powerful Raven figure depicted in a bold palette of black, red, and teal, with a Coho salmon positioned horizontally at the base. Beasley, a member of the Eagle clan from the Frog House of Klukwan, is highly regarded for his ability to translate traditional Tlingit stories and crests into contemporary mediums. This piece showcases the intricate symmetry and stylized anatomy characteristic of Haida and Tlingit art, framed by a teal border that echoes the secondary colors within the figures. The print is hand-signed by the artist in the lower right margin and is an exceptional example of modern Indigenous printmaking.
