These prints are contemporary or mid-century recreations of famous works by Kitagawa Utamaro, the master of the ukiyo-e genre known for his "bijin-ga" (pictures of beautiful women). One image depicts a woman holding a scroll, while the other shows a woman serving tea. Both feature the artist's characteristic elegant line work and simplified color palettes against a vibrant yellow background. The reverse shows the pieces are mounted on heavy cardboard with adhesive tape and small identification labels.
