Description Original mixed media painting on canvas titled Ventana Campesina by Dominican artist Jorge Silvestre, created in 1999. Born in La Romana, Silvestre studied at the Altos de Chavón School of Design (an affiliate of Parsons School of Design) and is known for capturing native Dominican flora and wildlife. The architectural scene depicts open wooden shuttered windows set against a vibrant green facade, framed by lush tropical foliage and bright orange-red flowers. Signed and dated lower right "Jorge Silvestre 99". Housed in a distressed wooden frame.
