This square decorative box features a deep black lacquer finish, intricately embellished with mother-of-pearl inlays. The lid depicts a detailed central scene of a traditional landscape, featuring a figure near a lakeside pavilion, surrounded by mountains and pine trees. The perimeter of the lid and the side panels are further accented with delicate floral and vine mother-of-pearl motifs. The interior is also finished in black lacquer, and the box rests on four short integrated feet. Surface wear is present, including minor scuffs and fine hairline cracks to the lacquer, consistent with vintage age and use.
