Vintage Gerz ceramic beer stein manufactured in West Germany, featuring a pewter hinged lid and a richly detailed relief-decorated body. The stein is finished in deep cobalt blue with raised floral borders and hand-painted scenes depicting men and women in traditional Bavarian attire dancing and celebrating in a pastoral village setting. The pewter lid is embossed with decorative scrollwork and retains its thumb lift. The underside bears the Gerz West Germany maker’s mark, confirming its German manufacture. A decorative and collectible example of mid-20th century German stoneware.
Dimensions: H: 14 in. W: 7 in. D: 5 in.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Light wear to the base and pewter lid consistent with use. No major cracks or repairs observed. Please review photographs for overall condition.
