An exceptional mid-century Haitian folk art painting depicting a highly stylized and beautifully symmetrical market scene. The composition features two traditional market women in wide-brimmed hats facing inward, holding woven baskets overflowing with colorful tropical fruits. A lush, vibrant background of towering palm trees and dense island foliage balances the central figures. The work is signed "HARRY ART" in the lower right corner, a distinctive signature utilized by notable Haitian artisans during the peak of the 20th-century Caribbean art movement. Housed in its original sleek black wooden frame, this striking piece offers an elegant, graphic representation of classic Haitian regionalism.
