This vintage framed map documents the proposed canal location for the St. Johns–Indian River Canal District in Sanford, Florida. Dated April 6, 1964, the map was prepared by Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Architects and Engineers of Orlando, Florida. It details the proposed canal route through Volusia and Seminole Counties and includes geographical features, waterways, grid references, and engineering notations. The piece reflects mid-20th-century Florida infrastructure planning and is an excellent historical artifact for collectors of maps, Florida history, or civil engineering ephemera. Presented in a wood frame, it displays well as both a decorative and archival piece.
