This striking demitasse set features a bold contrast of deep black enamel and intricate gold filigree. Produced by the United China and Glass Company (Ucagco), the set exemplifies the high-quality export porcelain coming out of Japan in the mid-20th century. The interior of the cup and the center of the saucer are finished in a clean white glaze, framed by a dense, lace-like gold pattern over a black ground. The underside of the saucer bears the official Ucagco China logo with the Made in Japan stamp. This set is a sophisticated example of post-war Japanese porcelain design, perfect for collectors of demitasse teaware or mid-century cabinet pieces.
