Original acrylic painting on canvas titled Virgenes Del Sol from the series Por Los Signos De Los Signos by Ecuadorian artist Xavier Portilla C. (b. 1965). Created in 1994, the work features a central stylized totem composed of geometric and organic forms—including a purple crescent moon surmounted by a red apple, a colorful bird, a sun medallion, and sharp conical forms—set against a textured turquoise ground. The composition is framed by a relief border constructed of individual gold-painted and polychrome square tiles depicting stylized figures, relief faces, and repeating symbols. Hand-signed and dated "XAVIER PORTILLA 94" lower left. Includes the original Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and dated January 23, 2003, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
