The bowl is supported by a central porcelain pillar adorned with a gilded floral bouquet applique, flanked on either side by finely sculpted gilt-bronze maiden caryatid figures holding grapevine standards. The entire assembly rests upon a substantial white porcelain plinth base mounted with doré bronze foliate medallions and small bun feet.
