Description:
Oil on canvas surreal landscape attributed to Gertrude Abercrombie, depicting three owls perched on a branch extending from a leaning tree beneath a crescent moon. A fourth owl appears at the base of the tree within a simplified green landscape. The composition reflects the dreamlike, symbolic imagery commonly associated with Abercrombie’s work. Signed lower left “abercrombie ‘56.” Presented in a rustic wood frame.

Surface wear, scattered minor abrasions, and light paint loss visible. Frame shows age-related wear. Not examined out of frame.
