This impressive Southeast Asian temple bell is cast in bronze with a distinct, aged verdigris patination. The crown of the bell features a highly detailed, openwork suspension loop populated by traditional mythological figures, including celestial devas and stylized guardian lions (Chinthe) or multi-headed mythical creatures, characteristic of Burmese or Thai ritual craftsmanship. The body of the bell is decorated with clean horizontal banding and a delicate band of repeating lotus petal motifs around the shoulder.

The bell is suspended from a substantial, custom-built black lacquered wooden gantry stand. The frame features traditional clean lines, terminating in elegant finials at the peaks of the support pillars. Accompanying the piece is a turned wooden striker suspended by a cord from the side of the crossbeam, making this a complete and fully functional ceremonial set.
