This mid-century Judaica work depicts a young boy during a Bar Mitzvah or religious ceremony, cradling a Torah scroll adorned with a red mantle and the Star of David. The composition is rich with Jewish iconography, including a Tallit (prayer shawl), the Lions of Judah, and the Tablets of the Law in the background. The piece is executed in a distinctive mixed media style on a lucite or resin panel, utilizing etched black outlines and vibrant washes of color.
