This large vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vase features a vibrant cobalt blue ground with a dense wirework "cloud" or "diaper" pattern. The central decorative band displays a traditional scene of peonies, cherry blossoms, a perched bird, and a butterfly, rendered in a broad palette of pink, white, green, and red enamels. The neck and foot are further adorned with ruyi-head borders and scrolling floral bands. The vase includes a gilt-rimmed flared mouth and a matching gilt base. The interior and underside are finished with a characteristic turquoise-blue counter-enamel.
