This fine porcelain collector’s egg box is a late 20th-century limited-edition tribute produced under the authorized Fabergé brand name, replicating the spirit of the historic 1902 Imperial Clover Egg originally created by Peter Carl Fabergé for Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
The exterior of the egg features a vibrant, spring-green ground decorated with a delicate pattern of white and gold-veined three- and four-leaf clovers. It is mounted with a textured gilt-metal hinge band and secured with an ornate clasp cast in the form of the Russian Imperial Double-Headed Eagle.
The egg opens to reveal a polished gilt interior floor housing an attached miniature, three-dimensional surprise figure of a seated cat. The cat is rendered in a warm gold tone, detailed with brilliant green-gem eyes and an elegant, inset rhinestone collar.
Interior Rim: Stamped in a crisp, sans-serif font: FABERGÉ
Workmaster/Maker's Mark: Stamped with the boxed initials KB * Limited Edition Number: Stamped 001 indicating its place in the specific production sequence.
Lid Interior: Hand-painted or stenciled in elegant gold script: "Imperial Clover Egg"
Box: Accompanied by its original, gold-stamped blue presentation box.
Porcelain: Overall excellent condition. No visible chips, hairline cracks, or structural stabilization.
Enameling & Gilding: The green ground and white clover fillings remain bright and intact. The gilt-stencil detailing shows minimal surface wear or rubbing.
Hardware: The gilt-metal bezel ring holds securely. The double-headed eagle clasp is intact and functions properly.
Interior Surprise: The cat figurine remains firmly seated. The green rhinestone eyes and collar stones are entirely present and retains their brilliance. Minor superficial pocket scratches visible on the polished gold floor plate.
