Description
Stencil-style canvas artwork by the anonymous British street artist Banksy, created in connection with his 2015 installation Dismaland Bemusement Park in Weston-super-Mare, England. The work depicts a young girl wearing a gas mask while holding a teddy bear, rendered in Banksy’s signature stencil aesthetic with bold black imagery set against a red gradient background. The composition reflects recurring themes in Banksy’s work—contrasting childhood innocence with darker social and political commentary.
The reverse of the canvas bears “Banksy” and “Dismaland” stamps, consistent with works produced for or associated with the Dismaland exhibition (August–September 2015). Dismaland was Banksy’s large-scale dystopian theme park installation that featured works by Banksy and numerous contemporary artists, quickly becoming one of the most significant street-art events of the decade.
Accompanied by printed documentation referencing “Dismaland Canvas” from the Weston-super-Mare exhibition.
