Description:
Printed canvas artwork produced as a souvenir piece from Dismaland Bemusement Park, the satirical pop-up art exhibition organized by Banksy in Weston-super-Mare, England in August–September 2015. The design features a stencil-style military helicopter carrying a figure dropping bombs that resemble toys or figures, with the ironic phrase “HAVE A NICE DAY” printed below in red.
Dismaland was a temporary dystopian theme park installation featuring works by Banksy and numerous contemporary artists, created as a dark parody of traditional amusement parks. This canvas was sold as part of the event’s official merchandise and comes with the original printed certificate sheet referencing the “Dismal Canvas” artwork.
