This monumental, highly detailed Chinese hardstone sculpture is hand-carved from dual-toned jadeite. The piece features a striking contrast between the dark, spinach-green body of a dragon-headed carp (Longyu) leaping from stylized crashing crest waves at the base, and a pale green-and-lavender jadeite group rising from its back.

The lighter jadeite portion is intricately carved to depict the Goddess of Compassion, Guanyin, seated in royal ease upon a lotus throne. She is flanked by her traditional attendants, including Shancai (Sudhana) and Longnü (the Dragon Daughter), alongside small acolytes, stylized lotus pods, and auspicious symbols emerging from flowing water.
