A large-format poster for the First New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center, designed by Larry Rivers. The composition features an abstract, collage-like arrangement of linear and gestural elements with handwritten-style text, including “New York Film Festival” and dates “Sept. 10–19.” Additional text references Lincoln Center evenings and Museum of Modern Art afternoons. The poster was issued as part of a limited art edition, with the lower back noting “One Thousand Original Posters – Universal Limited Art Editions U.S.A.” The work is signed “Rivers” and dated 1963 within the composition.
