Released in 2015 as part of the Patron of Art series, this limited edition 4810 fountain pen pays tribute to the legendary Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The design draws inspiration from Pavarotti’s iconic stage presence and personal style. The black lacquered barrel and white lacquer cap represent the tuxedo, white bow tie, and shirt he wore for performances. The gold-plated clip is uniquely shaped to resemble one of his trademark extravagant scarves, while the cap features five gold-plated rings symbolizing the five tiers of the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti opera house.
The red lacquer cone is decorated with a delicate floral pattern and finished with a turquoise resin cabochon, reflecting the colorful Hawaiian shirts Pavarotti favored offstage. The 18k 750 gold nib is engraved with a bent nail, a nod to the unconventional lucky charm the singer famously kept in his pocket during every performance.
