Hand-modeled terracotta zoomorphic effigy vessel or whistle, possibly representing a coatimundi or similar mammal. The piece stands on four short, tapered legs and features a protruding snout with open nostrils, small rounded ears, and large circular eyes. The body is decorated with a dark brown and red polychrome slip over a tan ground, showcasing a variety of geometric patterns including stippled dots, chevrons, and sweeping curvilinear lines. Multiple circular perforations are present along the sides of the body, likely for sound modulation. The tail serves as the mouthpiece for the whistle mechanism.
