Pair of vintage Adlake Kero railroad lanterns manufactured by the Adams & Westlake Company. Each features a clear short glass globe surrounded by a protective wire guard cage, ventilated metal top, kerosene burner and fuel font, and tall wire bail handle. Adams & Westlake introduced the Kero short-globe design around 1930, and it became one of the company's most widely used railroad lantern designs.

The lanterns display aged metal surfaces and patina consistent with vintage utility equipment. Exact production dates and railroad affiliation have not been confirmed from the visible photographs; Adlake Kero lanterns were produced in numerous variations and with markings for more than 100 railroads.
