This tripod censer, or koro, is crafted in the traditional Satsuma style with a distinctive cream-colored crackle glaze. The exterior features a continuous hand-painted landscape depicting figures in traditional kimono traversing a snowy mountainous terrain near a small red-roofed structure. The rim is adorned with a dense band of moriage enamel in floral and geometric patterns, while the base is supported by three integral cabriole-style feet with orange-pigmented accents. The interior shows natural age-related discoloration and residue consistent with historical use.
